"AUGUSTA- The Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care recently won awards for interior design and masonry work from national panels of architects. It won a citation from the New England Chapter of the International Interior Design Association, for the architects' use of materials and detailing; and also won a silver award in the Brick Industry Association's 2009 Brick in Architecture Awards. The masonry work was done by Ed Hodsdon Masonry Inc., of North Monmouth. The center was designed by TRO Jung/Brannen, Newton, Mass. SMRT, Portland, was the architect of record. H.P. Cummings Construction Co. of Winthrop was general contractor. The out patient center is operated by MaineGeneral Health"
